Is the taking of a regular medication - statins - a 'pre existing' condition in Travel Insurance policies? I think it is.

Does anyone know any insurer doing travel insurance for someone taking lipitor for raised cholesterol?

Surely taking regular medication indicates there is an underlying issue. e.g. i take mezevant and imuran long term. Because I have Crohns. Ergo pre-existing condition.

If you contact blueinsurance for a quotation, they have a medical phone number you ring. You explain the issue and they may charge an additional premium but at least you would be properly covered.

Multitrip allow you to have high chol and take statins for no extra charge
