Travel insurance claim

Could anyone tell me if my flight was cancelled due to covid 19 and the hotel is offering to move the booking, but not give me a refund as it's non refundable, but it doesn't suit to now move it. Should I be allowed to claim via travel insurance?
I have the policy for a while so covid19 is covered
 
My understanding is that you have to have travel disruption included on your policy. If the airline cancel the flight and the department of foreign affairs advises against all but essential travel to your destination then you may be covered.
 
Correct I do, I was just wondering if im obliged to take up the rebooking of the hotel, as I dont really want to go, but I also dont want to loose the money so I would go if I really have to.
