Travel Insurance and Strikes?

With Aer Lingus planning strike action and a trip booked I am wondering if anyone has advice on what travel insurance to opt for just in case? I have looked at the likes of the gold option with 123.ie and they seem to cover cancellation, delayed departure on this policy etc but trawling through small print on line and no word on the coverage in the event of a strike, has anyone any pearls of wisdom?

Hi Jody, I read through my travel insurance policy with vhi multitrip and they also claim to cover strikes, cancellations etc. I guess we will just have to hope for the best. Very little information over the net about the situation and no mention of it at all on the aer lingus website which is a little mean I think.
