Transferring prsa avc to employment avc

Hi all, last Yr I started contributing into a new ireland prsa avc. The amc is 1% and contribution charge is 5%. I'm seriously considering stopping contributions and using my employment to make avc contributions (1% amc 0% contributions charge) as I'm thinking 5% charge is madness. Is this possible to do with fees. Obviously I will be in contact with new ireland and my employment avc provider ( not new ireland).
 
You were advised (or was it your own decision) to do a non-salary deduction AVC PRSA outside of the main scheme, even though the main scheme AVC had a 0% contribution charge?

Was the AVC via the employer an Occupational Pension AVC Scheme? Was there something like a 100% Allocation but Bid/Offer Spread charge on it?
 
Advised to do it. Avc via employer is not occupational pension avc. Provider has 1% amc which is tiered. My q was can I switch providers.
