Transferring music from Ipod to itunes ?!?

Just got a 2nd hand ipod for my daughters, great except it's full of dance tunes, which I want to remove.
Thing is some of them aren't so bad and I'd like to store them somewhere else, then put on their music......High School Musical etc
I have itunes up and running on their laptop and it's recognising the Ipod which I've now re-named for them and I have their library empty and ready to fill.
I know I could hit restore and wipe the ipod but like I say I'd like to save some of the tracks on it, but can't see a way of doing it ?????????

Its probably best to move the entire music content from the ipod and use itunes to remove the content that you don't want. To move your music from iPod to iTunes, If you are running windows try this link . If you are on Mac OS X - senuti works well at moving music from ipods to itunes.

Copy everything off. Create a new library, import everything into that.

Make a backup of it. Sync the iPod with the new library.
