Hi,

I want to transfer a few grand from my Ulster Bank account in Ireland to my Scotia Bank account in Vancouver.

Can I do this using Ulster Banks online banking by adding my Scotia Bank account as a payee or do I have to call Ulster Bank in Ireland to set it up?

Can anybody offer advice on other methods which may be more economical or hasstle free?

Thanks in Advance!

Investigate setting up an Xetrade account with www.xe.com. I've used them to transfer money between Ireland and the UK for over 3 years and they are very good value. Much better rates than using the banks currency systems and you can save yourself a lot of money. They manage the conversion at mid market rates and will transfer the foreign via electronic transfer into a designated bank account or will send it to you as a draft. They are a Canadian company I believe.

I have no links to xe.com.

Thanks for the info!

I've just set up an account with Xetrade & I'll try it out when my account is activated.

Cheers again
