Transfer tax credits to husband during mat leave

Hi, my wife is pregnant (yippee) and going on maternity leave in 3 months time. Her company will top up the maternity payment from Social Welfare so that her salary remains the same. We both earn roughly the same, and are well in to the top tax bracket. Is there any financial advantage, during her maternity, of her transferring her tax credits to me or is this possible ?
 
She is still earning during maternity leave and her income (other than MB) is taxable as normal so I doubt that there is any possibility of transferring credits or advantage in doing so if possible. What are your respective gross incomes?
