Transfer ownwership of shares

I own shares though a UK online broker and want to transfer ownership to my wife. The broker can only do a buy and sell which is expensive given fx costs and commission.

Anyone aware of a way to transfer shares without buy/sell? Or a broker who could do this?

Have you thought about putting your wife on the account as a joint account holder? Other than that, she obviously needs to open an account with the broker and if she does, you should ask to speak to someone in authority and they should be able to do the transfer for a small fee. i have never heard of having to do a buy/sell or in your case a sell/buy transaction for GENUINE interspousal transfers.
