Transfer of monies to Spanish Bank

I called into my bank Permanent tsb today to set up a standing order to transfer a monthly amount into a Spanish bank account. I was told that this was not possible and that I would have to physically call in to the branch each time and complete a Swift transfer. Does anybody know of any mechanism where I can avoid this nuisance and have it done automatically every month?
