Can the funds from a (wound up) DB scheme be transferred into a PRSA,and what type of charges are involved in this.

Traditionally you would transfer these assets to a Personal Retirement Bond in your own name, however normally a PRSA can also accept transfer values from an occupational pension scheme too, checking with a Trustee of the scheme will clarify this as all DB pension schemes have different rules. There will be a bid/offer spread on the units (typically 5%) when the current value is calculated but there will be no charges on the other end of the transaction for the PRSA to receive the transfer value.

The only charge that can be applied on the transfer is the Annual Management Charge.
