Transfer money outside of PTSB

Does anyone know is it possible to transfer money outside of PTSB (online) without having current account?

I have opened PTSB 'Demand Deposit Account' for this purpose, but it looks like it can not be used to transfer money using Open24.
Last month I have closed 21 Days Regular Savings Account and I had to go to the branch. They told I can not do it online using Demand Deposit Account and they have transferred the money with my signature (and charged me for it). This time I want to close 3 months Fixed Term Savings Account but to avoid going to the bank personally.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Sandra,

I think you may have to go into the branch. PTSB will probably accept a signed letter as well by registered post.

TSB are the single worst bank to deal with, particularly if you are try to take out your own money. I spent 3.5hrs one day trying to close an account. Obviously TSB's policy is to slow withdrawls at all costs. My new policy is not to bank with them anymore. I have most recently sent a letter into the branch requesting closure of my account with a copy of ID attached. I am expecting to get a call from them to say that this is a problem also.

Why is it that every other bank allow closure of accounts via post except TSB?

BoI don't allow this either. I would think that is not a good to close accounts by phone or post.

I have closed by phone/post. I have sent a letter and phoned them as well to make sure they have received it.
I have asked to transfer the money to Demand Deposit and outside from there. Transaction has been made instantly, I saw the money on the other account the same day (yesterday). There is a charge of 50c for the transaction, any other bank I have used is free.

Because it is far safer to have all transactions and modifications done by using pin and passwords. I don't want someone to be bale to make hanges on my accou ts simply by getting their hands on a copy of my ID.
