I was just looking at the revenue website and saw this. I am totally useless with all things tax and was just wondering what exactly it is. Im afraid i didnt understand the explanation of it given by the website.I am a cross border worker (working in NI living the the republic) and was wondering is this something i should be aware of. Thanks.
 
This does refer to you. It is not a straightforward matter, and if you don't understand the Revenue guidelines you should seek professional advice.

A lot will depend on your other income from within and outside Ireland.
