Trampoline safety net- zip broken

I refitted the zip several times, but keeps breaking and the teeth on the zip are such that it wont go on at all now. new net is 70-80e for an 8ft. What options have I got? seem a shame to get a new net just for a new zip but my heart is in my mouth when the kids are on the thing.
Anyone any ideas for something else I can put round it?

You could buy a new zip and replace it yourself or get a seamstress to do it for you?

Alternatively, get some of that extra strong velcro & stitch it on - I'd opt ofr stictching one 4 or 5 horizontal strips rather than one long vertical one - at least if your stitching doesn;t hold up on one, the others may.
