Traffic in Athlone

Anybody know off or have experience of what is traffic in Athlone like?
Has it similiar traffic problems to say Dublin and Galway?
What are the traffic black spot areas in Athlone ? Can they be avoided
Does Athlone have a rush hour(s) in morning and evening?

Can get a bit clogged up in the middle of the town but only at peak times. The roundabout at Kilmartins on the bypass will get clogged at peak times also but it's a world away from Dublin traffic.
