Where do those two show up on the Notice of Assessment? I'm self-employed and dh is PAYE but I'm the tax assessable one. I just noticed that there's no mention of either on our '06 and '07 assessment notices.
I know that pension contributions are deducted off the gross before tax is calculated and that's the way it shows on all his '07 pay slips. However, as he's not the assessable spouse it's when my Notice of Assessment comes that we pay our tax.
The figure for his gross salary on my Assessment looks to me like the figure before pension contributions. I'm confused. Should it be referred to somewhere on the assessment? Should the Trade Union Relief be on there too?
Thanks I'm advance.
