Tracing UK Pension - Private Company

I worked in UK for many years. I worked in one particular company for 7 years, they dont seem to exist anymore. Is there any way of tracing where my pension has gone for that company or can it be tracked through my National Insurance No - have searched the HMRC website but have come up with nothing. Any ideas?
