I have a Toyota Landcruiser 2002 (old model) automatic.Could anyone tell me what the two switches on the right of the gear lever are for. They are marked ECT PWR and 2ND STRT.Or if anyone has an owner's manual for this model (1997-2002) that they dont need.
Thanks in advance for any help.

ECT PWR make the automatic transmission hold a lower gear longer for quicker acceleration - fuel consumption will suffer.

2ND STRT allows the automatic transmission to deliver drive to the wheels in 2nd gear to start the car moving and prevent up-shifting in muddy or icy or slippery conditions as it helps to prevent wheel-spin.

These options should only be used in the appropriate conditions and switched to the OFF position when not needed. There should be corresponding warning lights on the dash.

Thanks for quick reply,I've had the jeep now 6 years and they've always been off, just wondered what they were for. Thanks
