Hi
Going to rome in July. Hearing that it better to book tickets in advance for Vatican/Vatican City tours

Has anyone books tickets for tours of Vatican/Vatican city online

What are the important and worthwhile places to visit to get best of this

What sites did you use for booking?

Anyone got any recommendations for tours of Vatican/Vatican city ye did and what they covered that ye would recommend to book

Thanks

We did a tour called the Scavi tour you can google it and get reviews. We thought it was a great tour it was under the Vatican the original Church.
I was not expensive but well worth doing.

Agree, would recommend the Scarvi tour, we booked it about 3 weeks before travelling.
only 250 people per day are allowed in and it is best to go early in the morning as is can get very hot. The only way to get in is to contact the Vatican directly through the Vatican Scavi office by emailing scavi@fsp.va to request access. When you email you need to tell them all of the dates you will be in Rome and available to visit; how many of you there are; the names of everyone in your group. Tours are booked according to language so you need to specify this in your email too to ensure that you can understand your guide.

You can book the tour on the Vatican website and skip all the lines.

We saved a good hour of queuing in March , I can only imagine how long the queue would be in summer.
