Too much to pay for a tiler?

Hi All,
We just had a tiler out to give us a quote for 98 sq yards of tiling and he quoted us 2400 euro. He said he could supply the grout, adhesive and seals for another 550euro. We think this is a bit expensive though we do know he is an excellent tiler as a friend recommended him. This is our first quote and we would be very grateful for any comments or suggestions!Thanks!

€24 yard is a bit rich, In Limerick the going rate is about €14-16 a yard unless your laying stone or have a complex pattern. If the job is broken into small pieces, i.e. 3 splashbacks, two bathrooms, kitchen floor then maybe €18 a yard because their is a lot of cutting involved. - €1750.

Got a few more quotes today and got one for 14 euro a sq yard and this tiler does not charge extra for laying porcelian etc so probably going with him.Should save us a lot of money!
