Hi,
I have a 99 Mercury Tracer with 145K miles on it and it seems to have gone kaput. My husband and father-in-law tried to fix it and seem to have actually killed it. I want to get the most money for my car because we are trying to buy a house and need to replace my car with a cash purchase not a loan. Is it better to scrap a car and get instant money? Or, should we donate it for the eventual tax write off, although I have no idea how much extra money that means we will actually see? I have to own up to being a completely steroetyplical girls here, I am totally clueless here and have no idea on how to even begin solving this issue.
Thanks for any help/advice.
