I am a student beginning a postgraduate course this coming september.
I must come up with fees totalling 5,500euro by the beginning of september and a further 5,500 by next january.
What is the best way for me to borrow the above amounts?
Do I just look for the bank with the best deal?
Borrow all at once?
Any help on this I would really appreciate...
Re: To finance postgrad studies...whats the best way for me to borrow €10k
Do you not qualify for a VEC grant?
Do you have regular income or a partner with regular income ? If not it could be difficult to get a 10k loan off most of the lenders. How do you plan to fund other expenses - books, housing, food etc etc?
It would be useful to know a bit more about your financial situation before giving advice.

Hi Fitz123
My sister did a postgrad a couple of years ago. She got a bank loan from AIB. The type of loan she got was geared towards students so she didn't need to start paying it back until she started working after the post grad.
My father guaranteed the loan so that definitely helped her application.
