Hi I rent in kildare but Im from dundalk and have land there where i wish to build some day. I was thinking about buying in kildare and in time when i moved to dundalk the sale of the house might help finance the build but I was told by a few people that this is not allowed. i.e If i own a house it is now not possible for me to get planning permission for to build and if i was to sell the house I would have to wait 5 years till I could get planning permission. Could anybody clarify this for me as the county council are of very little help. Idont want to be shooting myself in the foot. Thanks in advance.
