To be laid off- am i eligible?

I have been given a months notice and am to be laid off this July.

I am unsure if i am eligible for jobseekers benefit.

I have been working since October 2007. I was made part time last April 08 and work 3 days a week since then. Do i have enough credits with part time work?

I was let go in December for 4 weeks and re-employed and when i went to claim for those four weeks i was told i hadnt enough credits from 2006 ( i was travelling that year).

My employment history is:
1999-2002 part time
2002-2005 full time
June 2005-September 2005 (travelling without working)
October 2005-May 2006 full time
May 2006-May 2007 (travelling without working)
May2007-October 2007 Jobseekers allowance

Can anyone help? Im being let go and with the way things are looking, it'll be difficult finding a new job quickly enough before i run out of money
 
The only ones that can tell you exactly are the SW local office people. You still pay a PRSi 'stamp' when working part-time. If you have enough stamps in 2007 year paid/credited, you will get Jobseeker's Benefit. If not, you can try for means-tested Jobseeker's Allowance, whcih you were on before. Call into SW to check your position. And read keypost at top of this forum (which I've moved your post to).
