hello everyone,i'm building my house in a few weeks and was wondering is there good ideas and tips out there?

What I mean is are there any pit falls I should look out for, like added expenses I might not expect. For example, people never put in enough wall sockets etc., so put in plenty of them. I don't want to have the house finished and then have to turn around and do jobs on it that could have been done while it was being built. Any good websites on house building?

purchase the HOMEBOND house builders manual and let it be your bible....

if you stick rigidly to this you cannot go wrong...

plus, scour this any other websites for information regarding pit falls in building... theres great experience to be gained...

make sure you put external tap, also external lighting, if not sure on this lay underground cable anyway. Also socket and light in attic. Tv sockets and phone sockets in every bedroom. Linen "shute" from bathroom to utility room!!!

install solar panels when building, cheaper. also put in cast iron fireplace (not open fireplace) cut cost, save money long term!!!!!!!!!
