I have a 02 Trajet (diesel) coming up on 60K soon. It has it's original timing belt as far as I know. What would be the best time to change it in milage terms?
The maintenance schedule in the owners manual should have a section on it.
Hyundai mechanics changing timing belts on petrols at 50/55k. Don't know about the diesel. But, I wouldn't be mad about having the same timing belt in any vehicle at 60k.
Has it been Hyundai serviced? Ring the garage and ask if it's due.

if the car was built before 8/2002 then 50'000 miles or 5 years is the replacement interval.
if it was from 9/2002 onwards then it is 70'000 miles or 7 years.
this info is for a hyundai Trajet 2.0 crdi.
