Tiling or Sanitary ware - which first?

does tiling have to be liad before sanitaryware can be installed?

Its tidier have the tiles laid first. Saves on cutting the tiles around the sanitary ware and looks a lot neater.

We got the tiling done first and it looks much better than other bathrooms I have
seen where the tiling was done around the sanitary ware.

Also, if you ever want to or have to replace your toilet, you will have to get one that is exactly the same shape as the one you are replacing, if it is embedded in the tiles.

Tiling has to be done before the ware is fitted, except bath (you tile onto the bath), shower tray, and shower body if it is concealed.
