Tiling Adhesive (Flexible)

Hello,

I have always used a ready-mixed flexible tile adhesive when tiling on wooden floors and it has worked really well. The only problem is that it is not rapid set and so I have to leave it for 24 hours before grouting.

I have seen 20kg bags of rapid set flexible adesive but have never used them so was wondering if anyone has and how they found it i.e. cracking etc..

did you actually tile directly on to the wooden floor?? I thought you had to put down plywood first.

I always lay plywood first.

Laying tiles on a cement based adhesive straight on to plywood needs special arrangements, special materials. Check a DIY book about it , it's a complex issue but it can be done.
