tile walls instead of drylining?

Hi,
I'm wondering if it's sufficient to tile walls instead of drylining them. If I drylined them I would be tiling over that anyway, so I was wondering if the tiles alone would be sufficient to do the job. The walls are not very damp, and there are some tiles already on them...

You will need to sand and cement plaster to the walls prior to tiling them. You should not tile directly to a block wall.
