Tightening a handbrake...

I have a nct on friday and was just wondering if i can get advice on how to tighten a handbrake slightly on a 03 nissan almera. Its just has a little too much play in it and i remember tightening one on an old ford before but if anyone out there can tell me where to start I will be grateful. Is it directly under the car at a loop on the cable running towards the back wheels by any chance??
 
I am pretty sure there is a bolt essentialy at the back of the lever.

You should be able to pull off the bit of trim at the end then tighten with something around an 8 or 10 mm socket.

you were spot on,I got it sorted only it failed the test due to one of the headlights was too high,ahhhhhh,so annoying.
