Does anyone know if you can insert a check-box into a standard document that I use frequently in MS Word, which I can check or un-check by just clicking on it?
When you're at the spot in your document that you want a checkbox, go View > Toolbars > Forms.
Click the checkbox (2nd item from left) in the Forms toolbar and a checkbox will appear.
Then click the lock symbol (extreme right) in the toolbar and then you will be able to check/uncheck the box.
P.S. I don't know why this works - would have thought locking would prevent a change - but it works for me!
