Throw like a girl? You can do better.

The throwing gap has been researched for more than half a century, and the results have been consistent. The overhand throwing gap [between boys and girls], beginning at 4 years of age, is three times the difference of any other motor task, and it just gets bigger across age. By 18, there’s hardly any overlap in the distribution: Nearly every boy by age 15 throws better than the best girl.

The question is why!

Why spend 50 years researching it!!!

There was a study involving boys and girls throwing with their left hand (or right hand if they were left handed) and it dramatically reduced the advantage of boys. The reason? Using your weaker hand removes most of the element of advantage accruing from regular practice (of which boys obviously do way more on average)
