I received a very small dividend payment last year [less than €20], and I understand that such payments are taxable. Just wondering - is there a threshold below which the amount is so small, it's more hassle for Revenue to process it? Will the tiny amount just raise more questions if I declare it?
Also, dividends came through Etrade, and the annual statement doesn't mention anything about withholding tax. Should I just assume the amount of dividend stated is a gross amount; if there was withholding tax, I guess they'd have needed to say it?
Company is Irish headquartered, shares are quoted in USD on the NASDAQ, and I receive dividends etc. from Etrade based in the US. Should this be declared as foreign dividends on form 11, or since the company is registered in Ireland, is it an Irish dividend?
