Thinking of buying Skoda Roomster - Opinions?

As per title was looking at a Roomster over the weekend. As there does not appear to be many of them around I would welcome any comments/opinions from current owners.

It appears to be the car that fits our needs at the moment.
 
I've looked at them a few times,and always come to the conclusion that they look "odd" and you'd probably be married to it.
 
They do indeed look a bit odd but that does not bother me. I would be more interested in performance, reliability, fuel consumption etc.
 
And more reliable than the Skoda Fabia I own!(And hopefully better round town than the 30 mpg I get)
