Just wondering as to the suitablility of External Wall Insulation for the numerous hollowblock houses in the country with suspended ground floors.
I am guessing that there is a good chance that any cold air leakage into the middle of the wall via any incomplete vertical joints below ground floor level will cause Thermal Looping in the cavities of the blocks up to the wall plate level.
Any comments as to the probability of this happening and any steps that could be takekn to prevent it.
