They would be too busy doing constituency work ensuring everybody skipped the treatment q in the hospitalIf all the parties are so concerned about the reduction in the amount of speaking time available to them I’m surprised that NOBODY has suggested that they sit for one extra day each week to make up for it.
And we all thought there was drama in America
At least the kneecapping and punishment beating victims aren't clogging up the hospitals any more so the Shinners have done something to alleviate the A&E delays, sorry A&E Crises! Can you imagine the great little country we could be if those same politicians could generate even half the passion , drive and enthusiasm when attempting to solve the real problem that affect us.
Watch the next “ debate “ on housing or health and apart from Pierce Doherty working himself into a state of faux high dungeon you could be watching a cure for insomnia
In fairness Mary Lou has to do what she's told by the Party leadership and they wouldn't be as familiar with the workings of the Daíl as they would be with the Parliament in their own country. So the first SF resignation of the year has happened in Limerick, a councilor, again over candidate selection, this time for the Seanad elections and some of the comments made echo what happened in Laois last year.
No getting past the fact that the logic of Govt TD's sitting on the opposition benches is bonkers but the SF behaviour was so carefully planned and targetted. If what the other parties are saying is correct, the SF pulled the rug from under their TD who was in the meeting and who came out thinking he had a deal to take things forward. All of it is pointing to Mary Lou's inability to properly manager her own party.
