Its going to be very very hard for BC to say he is acting on behalf of the country now when he appoints new ministers for a few months and they will then qualify for payments for loss of office as well as the outgoing ones.

Oh Ireland where/when did we lose our integrity.

What a waste of money.

Even besides the money issue, where's the logic in 5 new ministers taking up new portfollios when they will be not in government in 2 months time?
Even if the present ministers are not running again they can see out their tenure in office.
It is being done for party political purposes rather than what is right for the government.

Have to say that every single Minister should see it as their duty to the country to see out their term until the election..

Ministerial Pensions only kick in after 30(?) months of service so only ministers who have 29 clocked up will get an extra pension.

do you honestly believe we have politicians of a high enough calibre to care about their country?

If so, you are deluding yourself.

FF ministers are now doubling up their portfolios.
Mary Coughlan is now looking after Health in addition to Education. That should be a doddle.
