The cost of home insurance

Just thought I would run this through here. There are just 2 people in our household, we live moderately, neither huge wealth or grinding poverty.
Four years ago our home insurance (annual) cost €148, now it has jumped to €196. This puzzles me, I have made no claims to date, have duly paid and would almost expect at this stage to have a no claims bonus.
Am i being unrealistic?

The increase may be linked to inflation, shop around there are good deals to be had on home insurance.

The best thing to do is go onto the web and search for "home insurance" Make sure that you provise all the correct info other wise a claim may not be paid out (ie if you rent out a room)

Sansolde - the same thing happened to us last month: a rise of almost 75% on last year's price (Allianz). Anyway, we shopped around and got a quote which beat last year's price (from FBD). Bob_TG
