The best time to register a business

hi
i am starting a small business very soon,would it be better to regester for income tax now or leave it until the new year,as we are so close to christmas. thankfull for any advice.

You can register a business name anytime.

Once you have the business name registered you will hav eto set up a bank account in that name (producing the business name cert to the bank)

Then once the bank is set-up you will register for taxes (VAT, PAYE etc) on a TR1 or TR2 form.

all in all this takes time - maybe 4-6 weeks.

So you should get your skates on!
