The average cost of a wedding photographer in the Cork area.

Just trying to find the average cost of a wedding photographer in the Cork area. I have been quoted from €900.00 to €1,800.00! Can you recommend anyone in the Cork area or just let me know what the average cost is?

difficult to reccomend, as what suits me, may not suit you. I found Dave barry in pembroke st to be very helpful, friendly and courteous.

Cheapest is not always the bext - you gets what you pays for!!

William Healy of Rimmington Healy (in Rochestown, I think) just did my friend's wedding. I've seen the dvd he provided (over 300 pics) and it looks great.

We used John Roche of Marlborough st - very happy with him and his price. Unlike some photographers, he gives you all the photo negatives too. I had come across him at a couple of other weddings and liked his manner on the day.
I think there are more arty/modern photographers than him around - it all depends on your own personal taste and what you want to spend. I was happy with our choice.
I have seen Donagh Glavin's work also and it looks really good.
 
If it just the average price you are looking for just phone a number of photographers around the area your are in. You will get their numbers in the Golden Pages or on the web. Price isn't allways the best way to judge by. I noticed none of the posters so far has given you prices which is what you asked for.
I cannot help you out with prices in Cork but in the Leinster area prices range anything from €900 to the sky the limit.
