Hi folks

NTL customer service...where does the nightmare end? After repeatedly asking them to cancel my account back in Jan and Feb they felt at liberty to free me of 92euro from my account last week and wont return my calls or emails regarding this.

Any suggestions of what I can do about this? I have reported them to the consumer watch dog...anything else i can do??? small claims court??
They drive me crazy....

Have you tried unilaterally cancelling the DD at the bank? No guarantee that it will work if they don't cooperate but no harm in trying. Have you kept records/documentation of the process of cancelling etc. to support any case you might take? Have you made an official complaint to NTL themselves (in writing)? Have you been using the service after requesting it be disconnected?
 
Have tried the bank...but writing to them again today outlining the problem. Have all records of correspondence with NTL and wasnt using teh service after it was cancelled.

its so frustrating trying to deal with these people. will try yet again tommorow.

Did you get a bill for that €92? If not the bank is supposed to refund you according to the

It's too late now but if you give the bank written instruction to cancel the DD "in good time" they're supposed to return an "Instruction cancelled" code to the originator when they try to take the money. More on Direct Debits .
