How do I cut a piece of wood to fit the contour of the tiles under kitchen presses?

Ie: matching the cut to a slightly uneven wobbly surface.

Could you run some silicone sealant between the floor and the kicker board? Might help disguise any uneveness - would prob be a nightmare trying to cut the wood to match tiny contours in the floor.

You could get a slightly smaller board, scribe that, and then clamp that board to the kickboard and cut along the line with a jigsaw.

Put the wood to be cut in place. Put a pencil on a matchbox and run it along the wood with the matchbox on the floor and you will be drawing a line matching the contours of the floor.

You might then have to pull the whole lot out again ( as happened in our house ) when the cat went on top of the kitchen cupboards and fell through a hole that had not been covered over. We could hear the crying and in the end found her behind the board which had to be removed.

I'm just thinking of the nice neat finish you are recommending and had to laugh at what happened here. It took us ages to get her out and then repair the damage.!! Always expect the unexpected.
