I don't really understand the concept of this store. You need to be a member of the 'club' to make purchases. All products are priced 'ex-vat' and the vat is added on at the cash point ... I just don't understand why?

Sounds like a cash n carry idea or venture to me as most times you need a number to enter and to purchase items etc

Are they based in Dublin maybe?

I would guess goods are priced ex-VAT as this is the only relevant cost for someone buying in the trade. VAT would have to be added at checkout, and then claimed via VAT return.
