Tesco Delivery

I ordered shopping for home delivery from tesco at the start of June. They attempted to deliver it at the wrong time, admitted it was their mistake and re-arranged for a time that suited us. Unfortunately they charged me for bother deliveries. I've been trying to get a refund ever since. They say the did the refund on 22/06 but I know I didn't receive a credit on my a/c. They want a copy of my statement showing my laser card number(statements don't show that info), name & address. I'm not keen on giving them a statement of my banking transactions! Any ideas on what I can do, I'm banging my head against a brick wall with these guys.

I provided PaddyPower a list of transactions (screenshort from my online banking) on my current account when I wanted a refund from them. They paid up once I provided this so it may be worth it in the long term. I dont think any statement shows the laser card number though.

They aren't happy with an online statement, they don't trust I won't change it. They won't provide a copy of their transaction from their payment centre in India, they won't provide any info that will allow me to follow up with my bank!

I had a similar issue recently with an online retailer.

I followed two tracks to resolve it.

First with the retailer who was happy with a screen shot of the online statement together with info on the authorization number, date, time of the transactions. My telephone banking people could give me this over the phone.
Thankfully, they refunded me the transactions without much hoopla, so I did not need option two, which was;

REporting the transactions as fraudulent to your bank.
If Tesco have agreed to provide you a refund (have you an email or letter confirming this and the date it was actioned?) the bank will chase it up on your behalf with the Merchant Bank that processed the transaction.
Again, my telephone banking folks were very good with info on this.

Best to call your bank, tell them the story with dates and time and ask their advice though.

Thanks - I'll give that a go, I can tell you something, I'll never use online shopping with Tesco again and am very quickly going off using them at all!

Why do they want this information?

I would start threatening Small Claims Court on them, which will cost them a lot more to defend that your shopping bill.
