Tesco Credit Card Online

A friend applied for a tesco credit card online two weeks ago and has heard nothing since. What is the usual situation. How long does it usually take, I think he is wondering about whether he should hold off on the christmas shopping until he gets it to stock up on points...

i heard on the radio today it takes 3-4 weeks

I applied for one weeks ago, in fact I had forgotten all about it until the phoned me the other night to say it's been approved but they want me to send it ID & bills, then they send me out a form to sign and then I get the card. I would love to get it before Xmas, we are really stuck for money at the moment so at least I would be able to buy what we need on the card and pay it off in January!.
Have to agree though, they are so slow it's unreal, wonder why?.
