Hello. My wife has been asked to consider taking the entire month of August off as a cost saving measure. The suggestion is to 'annualise' the pay so that in effect it will be a pay cut but she will still see a weekly wage in her bank.
How will this affect entitlements/holidays etc? Are there any smoking guns we're missing?
At least with Parental Leave you are unpaid but your other entitlements accrue normally. If not then any arrangement between the employer and employee is a contractual matter as far as I know so only the employer can clarify.
