Tenants have fled to Scotland leaving bills : Is Small claims court in UK an option?

I have a studio apartment that I let short term.

My last tenants from the UK left without paying 2 weeks rent, oil to the value of €60, electricty €70.

They also took hair dryer and clothes iron. I have emailed them and eventually got a reply from the man saying he would pay at the end of Feb.

Any suggestions as to what route I could take.

I have a Scottish contact address, but house may be for let or for sale.

Is small claims court in the UK an option?

If i were you i would leave it alone and move on as it can wreck your head. Eaten bread is soon forgotten with tenants. They are great when moving in only, but from my experience of 36 years horrors to be found when they are gone.
