My husband has just been made temporarily redundant with immediate effect. This is a new one on me! We both have always worked full time, and have one child aged 8. Does anyone know what we're likely to be entitled to, if anything? I earn about 40k including some overtime, and my husband was on about the same.
His employer is hoping that he will have work for them within a month, although it is a building firm so this may be unlikely! Can anyone explain the implications of temporay redundancy as compared with just laying them off?
