Hi, I have been giving temporary layoff for 4 weeks. But this may be extended.
Does the company have to pay my PRSI for these weeks?
And am I means tested if it is temporary? I have more than 20k in savings
If I am made redundant, does the means test restriction still take effect or do I get a year before they can means test again?
Thanks

Have you applied for JB during your lay-off. If you have sufficient PRSI (the relevant tax year is 2008) you are likely to qualify for JB which is not means tested.
You will not have your PRSI paid by your employer as you have no income from him at present. Instead you will receive a PRSI credit for each week of your JB
