Has anyone bought their television in the North and how did you get on with them working and pricewise. Ours has gone on the blink and we reckon that it might be cheaper to buy one than to get it fixed. We wouldn't be looking for anything bigger than about 26"/32".

I recently bought a TV, not from the north, but had looked into it quite a bit. The only one concern I had, was that TVs from the north more often than not, are not equipped with the MPEG4 chip that will be needed in the (possible very far) future to view digital terrestrial television. That is because in the UK they use MPEG2, so most of the models in the UK have that chip and not the one that will be needed here. When that actually becomes relevant I don't know, but I wanted to buy a tele that was future proof and prevented me from having to get a separate decoder once DTT is here. Whether that was worth my while or not is subject to debate, but I got the best price on [broken link removed] and ordered it from there - pick up from their warehouse in Blanchardstown. Otherwise, apparently THE place to buy from in the north is www.richersounds.ie - so have a look at that. Lots of happy costumers on www.boards.ie

I did, yes they are cheaper if you know your stuff and find the right deals. Problem is though, that when there is a good deal on it usaully flies out.
