Telecom Provider?

I have just moved house and have not yet re-installed my landline. I now wish to do so primarily for internet access and the odd phone call.
Any suggestions as to who is the best provider to go with. If I go with BT do I still have to have Eircom re-connect the landline?

Consider NTL cable or some other option without a land line from Eircom.

Don't pay for a land line if you do not need it
